Breaking Through: Women Changing the Leadership Landscape Forums Announced

Union Institute & University announces the new Breaking Through:  Women Changing the Leadership Landscape Forums starting July 18, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at Union, 440 East McMillan Street.

Women are becoming more present in the leadership landscape, but there is more work to be done. Union wants to encourage this change by hosting a series of forums that highlight how women have the potential to transform the ‘business as usual’ mentality that is prominent in many communities. The women participating in these forums have challenged the status quo and pushed beyond the limits and barriers in personal and professional settings.

Come hear the inspirational stories of empowerment, commitment, and passion to step up and speak up in an effort to drive change. Each leader will share her story of how she moved outside her comfort zone to stretch boundaries and transform communities.

Our first session will be held on Wednesday, July 18th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM, and is focused on how and what it takes to run for political office. Panelists have been asked to share the personal and professional impact of running for office as well as key issues that impact women.
